We reported this earlier in the week but today, all day for the 4th of July, the massive, animated fireworks display, patriotic in red, white and blue, will appear on the Toshiba Vision and TDK screens at One Times Square. From 12:01AM through Thursday, July 5th; 12:00AM, visitors and New Yorkers are given a feeling of unity. For those who don’t know where this is, its where the New Year’s Eve Ball drops.
The specs are : 400 feet above street level, 130-feet in the air, digital fireworks which start with the background of a starlit sky and the appearance of skylights, reminiscent of a Broadway premiere. Then a digital collage of brilliant red, white and blue fireworks, including rockets, roman candles and pinwheels follows, surrounding a rising American flag, with the iconic New York skyline as the perfect background. A shimmering “Happy 4th of July 2012″ then appears to complete the patriotic display.
After the July 4th holiday, the digital fireworks display will be featured on the Toshiba Vision and TDK screens every 11 minutes through Sunday July 8th as a further tribute to the holiday and the millions of visitors to Times Square.
