T2C has two new stars on the rise. Talented, new to the city and, one with a story that will break your heart, these rising stars are waiting on their Christmas wish. Just 21, Courtney Pierchoski came to New York from Pulaski, Tennessee in the beginning of August 2011. Meeting Producer Pat Addiss at a birthday party she was offered an internship. Two weeks later, Courtney and her
mom flew to New York to look for an apartment. Two more weeks later, she was installed into the New York life.
T2C: How did you get your start in the arts?
Courtney Pierchoski: I started dancing when I was 3 and I got into theatre and singing at a community theatre.
T2C: First show at the Community Theater.
CP: Played the lead in a show called the “Babbling Brooks.” I was 14.
T2C: What styles of dance do you do?
CP: I do it all but my favorite is tap.
T2C: What is it you want to accomplish in New York?
CP: I want to get everything out of it I can. I want to perform as much as I can. I’m going to be a Rockette.
T2C:What has happen to you since you came to New York?
CP: I’ve attended meetings and numerous shows with Pat. I also interned at AMAS Musical Theatre, I worked as a production assistant on the “Big Bank,” a NYMTF show, and I was cast as the lead in “Dog Mouth” at Theatre for the New City.
T2C: What’s up next.
CP: I’m pounding the pavement with auditions and waiting for the next big break.
T2C:What is your perfect show?
CP: Deminter in Cats because I can dance and sing the entire show.
T2C: Who do people say you look like?
CP: Jennifer Gardner
T2C: Who inspires you?
CP: Sutton Foster, Ethel Merman and Idina Menzel.
T2C: What is your favorite song that gives you that fire in the belly?
CP: Defining Gravity from Wicked.
T2C: What is the one thing you want people to know about you?
CP: I don’t ever give up
on anything. I am very determined and committed.
