There was a time that Times Square was known for their sex shops and, thanks to “Fifty Shades of Grey,” Times Square returns to its roots. A “Grey Area,” inspired by the bondage novel, has whipped into place at Gotham City at 687 Eighth Ave. This one stop shopping allows you to fill your black leather knapsack with handcuffs, rope, whips, and all three novels, along with fetish toys and attires.
For those living under a rock, “Fifty Shades of Grey” shows the romantic and sexual side of BDSM (bondage/discipline, dominance/submission and sadism/masochism) and this underground just became more accepted.
With sweet names like “pleasure tape” which is used to tie someone up, gags, muzzles, straightjackets, “shock therapy nipple clamps,” flogging utensils and lots of rubber because “Leather hurts and rubber, makes more of a sting than a snap.”
Not to be considered chauvinistic, the store has hired only female staff members.
Ironic because the clientele, is typically older women.
