Look for Kate Shindle in the up-coming musical Wonderland, the new musical version of Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice in Wonderland opening at Broadway’s Marquis Theatre on April 17. Kate plays the hot Mad Hatter. The former Miss America has come a long way from the pageant circuit, having starred in Jekyll and Hyde, Legally Blonde and Cabaret. The gender-bending new role for Ms Shindle is just one of several differences in the new Wildhorn musical. In this version, a grown-up Alice, lost and unhappy with all aspects of her life, takes an elevator into the bowels of Manhattan to find her missing daughter and, consequently, herself. The characters represent aspects of Alice trying to find herself. Previews begin March 21st at the Marquis Theatre 1535 Broadway.
