As you walk casually through Times Square you are accosted with pamphlets for Scientology. Sweet, gorgeous young things are there to answer your questions and lead you to the holy building to answer the many other questions that have been plaguing you as of late. The cultish atmosphere has long permeated the streets of New York. Where the Moonies crazily dressed left off, Scientology has taken over in a pretty package. But is that package that pretty or that transparent? The Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes divorce is in the headlines, the sidelines and the by-lines, but is all of what we’re seeing true or some kind of scam to save the face of how we think of this so called religion? No longer are we seeing news of John Travolta. The masseuse scandal is dying a quiet death. Were they all paid off as TomKat took the heat and the press? Scientology prides itself on curing homosexuality, and has a “camp” for it.
These are quotes from Ron Hubbard and Dianetics; “The sexual pervert such as homosexuality, lesbianism, sexual sadism, etc., is actually quite ill physically… he is very far from culpable for his condition, but he is also far from normal and extremely dangerous to society…” ” Sexual perverts engaged in “irregular practices which do anything but tend toward the creation of children” and “efforts tend not towards enjoyment but toward the pollution and derangement of sex itself so as to make it as repulsive as possible to others and so to inhibit procreation.” “Such people should be taken from the society as rapidly as possible and uniformly institutionalized; for here is the level of the contagion of immorality, and the destruction of ethics; here is the fodder which secret police organizations use for their filthy operations.
Many Scientologists claimed the church has cured them from the “disease,” but I personally know several who make this claim and they live secret lives.
It is odd that Katie would come out in the August issue of Elle, announce she is showing at New York’s Fashion Week with her Holmes & Yang line, tape an appearance as a judge on Project Runway after looking so down-trodden and beastly. Could she be a better actress than we all gave her credit for? To make Cruise look good, let’s add in the additional measure of filing for divorce days before Cruise’s birthday.
Cruise’s new film Jack Reacher has earned him a hefty payout. All of a sudden his sexuality is not in question. Mimi speak out!
Travolta’s film Savages, is being released today and all we hear are his glowing reviews and not a word about the scandal.
TomKat’s divorce ended amicably today.
Damn, I want their press agents and the payout which has to equal Cruises’ salary. This is one big buy out.
