This video shows Emmanuel Kelly and why furious viewers have taken to Twitter and every social network after Melbourne singer Emmanuel Kelly was cut from X Factor.
Emmanuel impressed the judges with his heartfelt performance of the John Lennon classic Imagine in his audition for the show.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been moved as I was by that performance,” Ronan Keating said.
His rendition even drew praise from John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono who tweeted “John would have been proud of you”.
Last night judges cut him after forgetting the lyrics several times during his performance. He wasn’t the worse and his story and voice has touched a nation.
Fans quickly responded on Twitter and the X-Factor forum calling for Emmanuel to be restored as a wildcard entry.
Judge Ronan Keating stated that his decision was more to do with their sexy, schoolgirl costumes than their talent. Guest judges, The Veronicas rolled their eyes at Melanie and Amy Djuric’s vocal prowess, and even laughed during the performance.
