Iridium Strikes Musical Gold With “Nobody’s Business” Trio

Written by: Denis McKeown

Broadway’s Iridium Jazz Club has struck it rich with the “Nobody’s Business Trio” and has given the all-girl trio a four-show a year deal at the club at 1650 Broadway.   Named for the most rare precious metal in the world, Iridium is bringing back the remarkable team of an Opera singer, a Pop singer and a Jazz singer for repeat performances ‘from this moment on’!

The Opera singer, Alecia Evans, opens the show — sparked by musicals now on Broadway! –  ‘Summertime’ from George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess,” quieting the audience with the classic song.   Each singer takes a turn, Cadden Jones, the Pop singer, and Linda Sue Mosher as the Jazz Classicist. The lovely ladies of song draw upon various sources for their hit parade, and most memorable being Jones and Moshier replicating the duet between Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand on Garland’s TV show on CBS, masterly combining “Happy Days Are Here Again” with “Get Happy.”

The Musical Director is Phil Hall and the Director/Choreographer is Kevin B. McGlynn, both master showmen.

Tickets for the terrific Trio are only $25 and the food is top-rate, so there’s  a dual benefit to joining in the fun.  For upcoming dates to see “Nobody’s Business,” check out their website www.nobodysbusinesstrio.com.
