Glen Charlow- a graphic designer in the performing arts, has worked on many cabaret and off-Broadway shows, serving as the graphic designer for Elegant Diamond Productions, ShaRell Productions, 12 Miles West Theatre in Montclair, NJ and The Theatre of the Republic in South Carolina. He has worked with the ad departments of Back Stage and has also produced ads for Time Out New York and Sheet Music Magazines. Glen is a Board of Directors member of The New York Sheet Music Society, serving as treasurer, webmaster and graphic designer for their monthly newsletters.
For fun, Glen became a major Lucille Ball collector when he moved to New York in 1983 and has since become recognized by many as having one of the largest “Lucy” collections around. Some may remember him from A & E Biography when they did their tribute to Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz. Glen is also a Union Actor/ Singer/ Dancer with his own one-man show, “Loving Lucy: A Tribute To Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz & I Love Lucy,” a tribute to his favorite Redhead. Glen has toured with Gypsy, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles playing the famed Leonardo. For 7 years, Glen was a member of the Brooklyn Heights Players and performed such memorable, favorite roles as Cosmo Brown in Singin’ in the Rain, Blore in Ten Little Indians, and Eddie Ryan in Funny Girl. He made his Off-Broadway debut in Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral when he went on as an understudy for the role of SkyBoy.
His design business helps promote talent to the next level by creating the perfect print and web campaign. His advertising placement has been in every production house and agency in New York. His experience with editing, design, color and typography, has been applied to such award-winning publications as Sheet Music Magazine and The Sondheim Review, as well as nightclubs such as The Duplex, Don’t Tell Mama, Helen’s and The Triad.
