Earth Day Starts Early as Aveeno Created a Pop-Up Forest in Times Square

April 22nd is Earth Day, but hundreds of trees flourish in the concrete jungle of Times Square.  Creating an educational, green oasis as well as a terrific marking of Aveeno’s commitment to raising awareness for the small steps we all can take to make our world a healthier, more beautiful place.

Aveeno’s  consultant and sustainability expert Summer Rayne Oakes, a leading Eco-Model who partnered with the brand to raise awareness about the benefits of trees and consumer responsibility to the environment, had New Yorkers in bliss as the forest stretched to the skies.

Visitors to the forest received seed cards to plant their own trees and samples of the latest Aveeno Active Naturals products.

The Aveeno Forest is the important “first” of one million steps toward beautiful change: The company is donating the forest to the City of New York Restoration Project’s Million Trees initiative, which will plant and care for one million new trees throughout New York City’s five boroughs by 2017.

The forest was up April 8th and 9th from 10-7
