We were front and center for BET’s upcoming production of Rip the Runway 2011, which taped at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Feb. 26.
Once again, the show is representing for the curvy girls. Kai Morae, daughter of actress Lisa Raye, who’s walking the runway for plus-size clothing company Tennille White, revealed the number one item she thinks every curvy gal should have in her wardrobe.
“Corsets,” the model, who was the first plus-size face for Apple Bottoms, declared. “My favorites are from Frederick’s of Hollywood.”
Frederick’s of Hollywood, which has been providing sexy intimates to the public since 1947, has a whole section devoted to plus-size lingerie and apparel.
Kai’s got a motto for all the girls out there who need a little boost on feeling fabulous at any size.
“There’s nothing wrong with being curvy if you’re healthy,” she declares.
We couldn’t agree more.
