Cinco de Mayo is May 5th, and for many, that means Mexican food, Coronas and Margaritas. This is the 150th year
This year, marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, and not Mexico’s Fourth of July. Cinco de Mayo commemoration of the Battle of Puebla, an epic struggle in which Mexican forces defeated the French Army, which was dispatched to Mexico to demand payments on which Mexico had defaulted.
This year search out the concerts featuring famed Mexican and international performers, art exhibits and dance performances. The highlight of the Cinco de Mayo celebrations, though, will be the events that help shed more light on the ties between the U.S. and Mexico and the aspects of our shared history that have largely been forgotten.

Classic Margarita Ingredients:
3.5cl Tequila
2.0 cl Cointreau
1.5 cl Fresh lemon or lime juice
Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into chilled cocktail glass rimmed with crusted salt.
Watermelon and Apple Margarita
Ingredients:
2 oz 100% Agave silver tequila
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Agave syrup
1 oz Watermelon juice
1 oz Apple juice
1 Apple fan
