Every Saturday night Upstairs at San Martin presents Chris Barrett in Concert. San Martin offers Italian cuisine and a gourmet wine cellar. While enjoying a wonderful meal, the diners are treated to a delightful evening of Chris Barrett holding court singing and playing the piano. His show features an eclectic mix of songs from Broadway, The Great American Songbook and beyond. The evening is reminiscent of Bobby Short performing at the Carlyle Hotel. Many restaurants feature background piano music during dinner, but San Martin has Chris Barrett front and center entertaining as well as inter-acting with his audience. I was amazed how seamlessly he was able to play requests without missing a beat. Spending an evening dining and listening to Chris Barrett is a great way to spend a Saturday night.
