With John Travolta and Tom Cruise, Scientology is having a bad week and getting a bad rap. If you saw pictures of Katie Holmes lately she has really looked bad and now we know why. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after five years of marriage.”Katie filed,” and according to Cruise’s attorney “Tom is very sad about it and is concentrating on the kids.”Holmes attorney added in a separate statement,”This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, with her daughter’s best interest.” Cruise, 49, and Katie 33, married in November 2006 and have one child together, the adorable fashion trendsetter Suri. Cruise, was wed for 10 years to Nicole Kidman, which led to two children. Mimi Rogers divorced him in 1990. Rumors flew of him with her brother. Rogers is quoted saying she split with Cruise because he refused to have sex and wanted to become a monk. 1990 when his desire to make love became non-existent. She says, “He was seriously thinking of becoming a monk. “He thought he had to be celibate to maintain the purity of his instrument, but my instrument needed tuning, and we had to split.” Maybe Katie and Mimi should talk.
