S.L.E. Lupus Foundation will hold their “Life Without Lupus” 2012 Black-Tie Gala Benefit on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West at 79th Street from 6:30 – 10:00 PM
Aptly named “Turning Lupus Research Upside Down,” this year’s black tie “Life Without Lupus Gala 2012” celebrates the novel and innovative science that is turning the tables on lupus. Board member Fern Tessler and her husband Lenard will be honored for their outstanding leadership in advancing innovative lupus research! And while the November 19 Gala kicks off the holiday season, guests will be swaying to Gershwin’s classic ‘Summertime’ when five-time Tony award winner Audra McDonald takes the stage. A star of television, film and theatre, Audra was just recognized as 2012 Best Actress in a Musical for her starring role in Porgy and Bess. Honorary Chairman: Honorable Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
