My View by Stephen Sorokoff
I’ve been having fun with “Amazing Sex” this week. Before I get censored, let me point out that this is not about my personal activities these last few days. The fun was in answering my wife’s question “What are we doing Tuesday evening?”
It’s always “amazing” (hard to resist this word) seeing what creative people can come up with next. Just when you think you’ve heard songs based upon every subject possible, the creative folks come up with an exciting surprise.
With concept & lyrics by Barry Harman, and music by Keith Herrmann, the Triad was filled with laughter and some tears during this unique presentation last night. I think listing the titles of some of the songs will give you the feel of the show. “Kinky,” “What Have You Done For Me Lately?,” “Raunchy Music”, “Either Way,” “A Touch Of Your Soul,” and “Good For You”…………(I just realized that everything I write about this show sounds like a double meaning). Aisha deHaas, Jeffry Denman & Jason Graae were marvelous in there ability to bring these songs to life. The vocal arrangements and harmonies were superb, the singing first rate and it was an extremely stimulating evening.
